About Me

Eliza began teaching at Samuel Merritt University's online FNP program in the Summer of 2017. She has taught N672, N673, and N674, and N677 Pharmacology. She currently teaches N676 Chronic and Complex Conditions, and N680L Internship. She has also previously taught online at University of Phoenix’s Nursing and Health Administration undergraduate and graduate program where she taught Introduction to Healthcare Informatics and the Impact of eHealth. 

She started her Nursing career in the Philippines in 1993. She has worked in various field of nursing as a staff nurse and home health nurse. In 2000, she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration, and in 2013, she earned a Post-Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has held positions as a Professor and Simulations Coordinator at two local Southern CA community colleges, and as a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics, In-Home Adult and Geriatrics, and Cardiology.  

She currently works as an Adjunct Instructor and Clinical Faculty in SMU’s online FNP program, while she works as a Nurse Practitioner in Los Angeles, specializing in Primary Care and Addiction Medicine.
