I have taught Healthy Aging and Community Health in the past, but currently support the Program Directors.

Clinical practice area

My clinical expertise is in geriatrics, and I am especially committed to addressing the health needs of marginally housed and underserved populations. Throughout my career, I have created meaningful learning experiences that help nursing students connect classroom knowledge with real-world community health challenges.

Notable affiliations

I stay actively involved in professional and community organizations that advance nursing leadership, caring science, and service to vulnerable populations. Through these roles, I collaborate with colleagues nationwide, stay current with emerging healthcare trends, and bring those insights into my teaching and mentorship of future nurses.

Selected scholarly highlights

My research and scholarship focus on improving access to care and health outcomes for vulnerable populations. I have presented nationally on topics including nursing student practice readiness, the health needs of marginally housed individuals, prescription delivery programs for unhoused populations, and innovative ways nursing students can support community health. I currently serve as the Principal Director for the HRSA-funded Oakland Nursing Initiative for Community Health (ONICH), which expands workforce development and community-based healthcare opportunities. I am also leading Connect to Meds, an ongoing research project focused on improving medication access and adherence in San Francisco's Tenderloin community
