I teach Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement NURS6007.

Clinical practice area

I am the Director of the Case Management Track. Case managers work in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute-care hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term facilities, home care agencies, hospice organizations, and workers’ compensation companies.

Community involvement

I am a member of the Japan Student Exchange committee. Also, I am a board member and a program committee member of the Japan Chronic Disease-Management Association.

Notable affiliations

I am a member of both the American Case Management Association (ACMA) and the Case Management Society of America (CMSA). Many of our graduates are also actively involved in these professional organizations.

Selected scholarly highlights

The CM faculty and I are deeply committed to examining our students’ clinical practice, particularly the development and demonstration of clinical competencies. We are also actively investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students’ clinical experiences and learning outcomes.
