About Me

I am an alumna of Samuel Merritt University and have served as an adjunct in a variety of courses over the years. I remain an active clinician while working in acute care with a focus on patients with complex neuromuscular presentations. As a member of the clinical education team, I enjoy supporting students' transition from didactic work to clinical practice by providing clinical context and anecdotes. In addition to teaching and clinical practice, I lead a health promotion course for community-dwelling seniors.

Education

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Biology from University of California, Davis in 2010.  

I completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University in 2015.  

I became a credentialed clinical instructor in 2016.  

I am recognized as a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as of 2020.

Teaching Interests

I enjoy simulation-based learning, interprofessional team communication, and advocacy for patients with disorders of consciousness.

Scholarly Interests

Simulation-based learning on clinical performance outcomes.
