About Me

When not teaching as a professor at Samuel Merritt, Rochelle Lonn currently serves as Sutter Health’s market oncology service line executive for the Greater Central Valley. She has been in healthcare for over twenty years, starting as a nursing assistant and to being now a nursing director of a cancer center. Rochelle has served Sutter Memorial Medical Center’s cancer program for the past 18 years, starting as a nurse extern on the Oncology unit and advancing to her current role. Her mission is to provide our community with comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care through advocacy, implementation of evidence-based practice, and collaboration. Opportunity for growth and the pursuit of excellence are what drives her. She has a passion for the implementation of evidence-based practice, leadership excellence, and service line development. She practices agility and identifies as a transformational leader. As an advanced practice nurse and experienced leader, she utilizes a human-centered approach and develop effective professional relationships which build impactful teams that achieve high quality outcomes.
