I teach foundations, pediatrics, and student success.

Clinical practice area

My clinical background is in pediatrics. I am especially interested in pediatric surgical patients and pain control. As part of my advanced degrees, I have also done extensive research in competency of nurses.

Notable affiliations

I am actively involved with the Society of Pediatric Nurses which keeps me connected to the current practices of pediatric nursing.

Selected scholarly highlights

I have done research in competency through my advanced degrees. In addition, I have been involved in implementing the Shared Governance Model within the College of Nursing and presented a poster at the 59th Western Institute of Nursing Conference.
