About Me
I have been a physical therapist for 19 years and I currently work at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
I have had the privilege of being an adjunct professor at Samuel Merritt since 2016 Cardiopulmonary Patient Client Managment and in Patient Client Managment Complexity Care.
At Santa Clara Valley Medical Center I currently work on the Brain Injury and Stroke Inpatient Rehab unit. I am also trained to work on the cardiopulmonary service (7 years of service), Spinal Cord Injury unit (7 years of service), Neurologic Outpatient department (4 years of service) and occasionally help on the acute care service unit.
Throughout my time at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center I have worked throughout the continuum of care from ICU to outpatient setting. All these experiences have allowed me to be a well-rounded physical therapist in which I can assist and address the person as a whole and not just limited to their diagnosis.
Additionally, I have been involved with developing, implementing and am now the lead Coordinator of an onsite adapted gym program through Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. This gym is specific to individuals in the community that require adaptive equipment to further their rehab goals, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and provide an opportunity for peer relationships.
