Join us for a COTAD Meet-and-Greet: Empowering Diversity in Occupational Therapy
The Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity chapter (COTAD) at Samuel Merritt University is on a mission to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion within our profession. We recognize the vital role that people of different backgrounds play in shaping the future of occupational therapy, and we believe that a more diverse and inclusive field is essential for providing culturally competent care to the communities we serve.
We invite you to join us for a casual meet-and-greet — a unique opportunity for natural conversations and meaningful connections. This informal gathering is an ideal space to share experiences, discuss the importance of diversity in OT, and explore the impact that mentorship can have on the next generation of practitioners.
As alumni, your insights and experiences are invaluable. By becoming a mentor, you can play a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring current students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. Your involvement can help shape a more inclusive and equitable future for our profession.
We look forward to seeing you there and continuing the conversation on how we can collectively advance the field of occupational therapy together. Let’s work together to create lasting change, one connection at a time.
