Samuel Merritt University Scores High Among U.S. News & World Report's Best Graduate Schools
U.S. News & World Report’s latest rankings of graduate schools places Samuel Merritt University (SMU) among the nation’s top providers of graduate health education. SMU’s graduate Physician Assistant program is one of four specialties recognized in the new 2023-2024 Best Graduate School Rankings just released by U.S. News. The PA category is one that U.S. News does not normally evaluate every year.

SMU is also ranked by U.S. News for its Nursing – Anesthesia, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy graduate programs, as well as being recognized as a Best Nursing School for Doctor of Nursing Practice. U.S. News is considered an authority in education rankings, providing data-driven information and guidance to help prospective students and their families understand their higher education options.
Recognition by U.S. News cements Samuel Merritt University’s reputation as a top graduate school. Earlier this year, college ranking website Intelligent.com bestowed honors for Best Online Nurse Practitioner, Best Master of Science in Nursing, and Best Online Master of Science in Nursing degree programs. In 2021, SMU was called the Best College in California for Getting a Job by career research website Zippia.
