About Me

Dr. Quiban is an experienced nurse educator and scholar dedicated to developing future advanced practice nurses through evidence-based education and leadership development. With over two decades of combined experience in clinical nursing, academic teaching, and quality improvement, she integrates her clinical expertise and research background to foster professional growth among nursing students. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes reflective practice, compassion-centered care, and translating research into clinical excellence.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Quiban remains committed to advancing nursing scholarship through her published research, community service, and mentorship of students in translating evidence into practice.

2024: Served as an educational consultant for 6 hours at Barlow Respiratory
             Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, on March 7, developing PowerPoint
             materials on the "Art of Delegation" to enhance staff training.

2023: Volunteered at Father Joe’s Villages in San Diego, CA, contributing
             directly to the agency's mission to end homelessness through hands-
             on support.

2012: Delivered a De-Stress Workshop at Fallbrook Community Hospital 
             in San Diego, promoting stress reduction aligned with research on
            military parents of children with autism.

2011-2012: Led a Community-Based Health Education Program for the U-
            Touch organization's Digital project in San Diego, focusing on
            accessible health outreach.
