Mark Razzante SMU Bio

About Me
After finishing residency, I spent two years as faculty at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at SMU before returning home to Cleveland, Ohio. At that time, I opened up a private practice and spent five years as faculty at the Kent State University College of Podiatric medicine in the Department of Podiatric Surgery, similar to my time at SMUCPM. During my time in Ohio, I also was a co-founder of a nonprofit (CMC Foundation) aimed at providing advanced education to podiatric medical students locally and internationally. Our foundation really grew during the COVID-19 pandemic when students were often not allowed to attend clinics and surgery. In 2022 I sold my private practice to return to teach at SMUCPM.

Education
I completed my undergraduate education at John Carroll University with a major in Chemistry, followed by a Master’s in Bioethics at Case Western University. My podiatric training was at California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University for school (class of 2012) and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio for residency, completed in 2015.
