More than 150 students from across the country attended the three-day American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Student Policy Summit.

The SMU students met with legislative leaders and visited the offices of Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

“It is important for us to help ensure that legislatures understand the issues important to the nursing profession, the healthcare workforce, and our patients,” Nguyen said.
